How to get here
From Stranraer :
Leave Stranraer following signs for A75 to Dumfries. As you by-pass the village of Glenluce on your left and climb a steep hill, merge onto the A747 on your right signposted for Port William, Garlieston and The Machars.
Follow the coast road. As the roads starts to climb up the rocks you will take a left onto the B7005 signposted for Wigtown.
Follow the road for 5 miles and you will find us on your left.
From Newton Stewart :
At the Newton Stewart roundabout, follow signs for Wigtown, Port William, Garlieston, Sorbie. If coming from Dumfries on the A75 this means taking the first left at the roundabout.After crossing the Bladnoch bridge turn right onto the B7005 signposted for Glenluce. Follow this road for 5 miles and you will find us on your right.
LOCAL BEACHES
Craignarget, near Auchenmalg:
Our closest beach and one popular with visitors. There is always plenty of sand to enjoy regardless of tide times. Plenty of grass for children to enjoy and there is a portaloo. Check The Galloway Gazette, included in your welcome pack, for tide times.
Second Sands, Port William:
A flat sandy beach in the village of Port William,
this is popular with locals and visitors.

Monreith Beach:
This lovely beach is situated next to St Medan Golf Club.
Stairhaven Beach:
Near Glenluce, this is a small, but beautiful beach in an idyllic setting. A tranquil location where you can forget the world.
Rigg Bay:
At Galloway House, Garlieston, there is a safe, sandy beach which is wonderful for swimming during summer.
